Darren is our newest team member, and he’s already made a big impact. With a keen eye for detail and an incredible work ethic, you’ll often find Darren pressing, cutting and building kitchens in the workshop. His years of experience in manufacturing have brought valuable skills and knowledge to the team, making him a very welcome addition.

Hobbies and interests: Outside of work, Darren is devoted to being a great dad to his young baby, putting all his time and effort into family life.

Rebecca joined the team in 2022 and is truly the brains behind the operation. As an early addition to Camper Family Cymru, she has been a massive support to Jon and the whole team from day one. She keeps communication flowing, ensures projects run on time (no easy job!), and generally makes sure everything stays on track.

Hobbies and interests: Rebecca works in a hybrid role, spending much of her time remotely managing projects—so you may not always meet her in person, but you’ll definitely hear from her via email or phone. She really is the backbone of the operation. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending quality time with her family.

James joined the team in 2025 and has been instrumental in expanding our capabilities at Camper Family Cymru. His ability to design both products and complete vans has been a real game changer, helping us
innovate and develop the perfect builds. You’ll often meet James in our design meetings, where he leads van development and brings new ideas to life.

Hobbies and interests: Outside of work, James enjoys walking with his partner Megan, and he’s currently taking on a house extension — entirely on his own! His favourite van is the Citroën Relay, and his go-to destination is Penarth.

By day, Rhian is a local GP, but has been behind the scenes since day one as co-founder and social media manager. When not juggling a medical career and motherhood, can be seen in the unit demanding photos “in portrait not landscape please”.

Hobbies and interests: Sea swimming, walking and chief lego builder

Jon is the central cog in the Camper Family Cymru engine. Jon had always aspired to create his own living and did just that with Camper Family Cymru. Jon is an NCC accredited electrician but really is a jack of all trades.

Hobbies and interests: Jon was always a keen rugby player but has found his new passion in Crossfit (don’t challenge him to double unders!). When he’s not running the business he can be found at the gym or playing Mariokart with the boys.

Dan is the co-founder of Camper Family Cymru and often the voice of reason when things get a little hectic. With previous experience in plumbing, he is our gas and plumbing engineer but takes a lead role in workshop management.

Hobbies and interests: Dan is an avid gamer, long boarder and even has fire dancing skills. Dan lived with his dog, Bruno, in his van when the business was in its early days so is the real life man with a van.

Kurt joined the team in 2023 and has become an essential part of the workshop. A hardworking family man, he commutes in to be part of Camper Family Cymru simply because he loves working on vans.

With years of industry experience prior to joining us, his knowledge and dedication really show in every build—especially when it comes to pop-top installations.

Hobbies and interests: Kurt loves spending quality time with his family, whether that’s a trip to the cinema or a day on the beach. He’s also known for singing in the workshop… much to our despair!

Lestyn, or “Tyn” joined the team in October 2023 and has fit right in. Always cool as a cucumber, Iestyn can solve the trickiest of problems.

Hobbies and interests: Tyn is at home in the skate park and on the beach. He has a T4 that he converted for himself and takes it out with his fiancé regularly.

Rob joined the team in August 2022. With a background in joinery, Rob is our CNC wiz and his attention to detail is second to none.

Hobbies and interests: Rob loves the camping world. There isn’t much he doesn’t know about caravans or campers. He has a caravan and goes away every summer with his family.
